For the CIM Level 6 Diploma, there are 2 mandatory modules: Strategy & Planning and Brand Proposition. Then you have a choice of 2 of 4 elective modules.
You must choose either Societal Impact or Commercial Intelligence (available from October 2025) for your first elective module.
Then you have a choice of AI marketing or SEO & Paid Search Management for your second elective module.

If you have completed a Level 6 apprenticeship, you may be exempt from modules and therefore able to complete the CIM Level 6 Diploma in less time. You can find more information about exemptions here.

Spread the cost of your course
Take advantage and make an initial payment of £325 by credit/debit card, then spread the remaining amount over 10 equal monthly instalments as follows:
Entry criteria and support
- A relevant Level 4 qualification, such as the CIM Certificate of Professional Marketing; or,
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least one-third of credits coming from marketing content (120 credits in a Bachelor's degree or 60 credits in a Master’s): or
- 2+ years’ marketing experience in an operational role plus a diagnostic assessment
- If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate English language proficiency (IELTS Academic Modules overall score of 6.5 or equivalent
