Mark Connolly is the founder and managing director of Marketing Mavens, a digital marketing agency that has been helping businesses achieve sustainable growth for over a decade. With 19 years of industry experience, he has built a strong reputation for working with SMEs and multi-national corporations, delivering results through a practical, hands-on approach.

Mark holds a BA Hons in International Marketing and is recognised as a Chartered Marketer, a mark of his dedication to maintaining the highest standards in the industry. His professional journey has been shaped by a continuous drive to learn, adapt and share knowledge, particularly through his role as a tutor at Cambridge Marketing College for the past 15 years.

Over this time, he has taught marketing communications, digital strategy, societal impact and AI, alongside emerging topics such as the metaverse. He has also mentored over 30 apprentices at Level 4 and Level 6, ensuring they gain both practical and theoretical insights to build their careers.

AI is now a core part of Mark's teaching practice. He delivers AI training through both CIM and Cambridge Marketing College, helping marketers understand how to apply tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Microsoft Copilot to real client work. He co-delivers a monthly AI and Metaverse course with Neil Wilkins on Spatial - Create Immersive UGC, Virtual Classrooms, Experiential Marketing, giving learners hands-on experience inside immersive environments. His teaching covers prompt engineering, generative AI for content and campaigns, AI search visibility (GEO) and the practical workflows agencies need to adopt to stay relevant.

Sustainability also runs through Mark's work. He teaches marketers how to apply ethical and responsible practices to AI adoption, data use and digital campaigns, recognising that sustainable marketing is about more than environmental impact. It covers responsible data handling, transparent AI use, and building long-term client relationships rather than chasing short-term results. He encourages learners to think about the wider impact of their marketing decisions on people, business and the planet.

Mark's industry expertise is acknowledged by organisations such as the European Centre of Technology and Sales Training International, where he has shared his knowledge of the latest in digital marketing. He also contributes as a guest lecturer at Glasgow University, University of Strathclyde and serves on the industry advisory board at the City of Glasgow College, offering insights that align graduate skills with the needs of the agency sector.

As an author, Mark has written two significant works on Digital Strategy and Mastering Digital Channels, offering practical advice to marketers navigating the digital space. His thinking led him to develop the FACES growth framework (Foundation, Awareness, Conversion, Engagement, Sales), a structured approach to delivering business growth through strategic marketing.
