With over 30+ years of experience in teaching marketing, over the years we’ve listened to a range of apprenticeship questions from businesses. There’s one subject that is beginning to dominate, and that’s the subject of AI skills.
AI is becoming a powerful tool that offers efficiency and a strong return on investment for businesses. We always want to share the most valuable skills with future marketers. This is why, from January 2026, all marketing apprenticeships at Cambridge Marketing College will be available with an AI focus at no extra cost.

What AI training is included in a Level 3 and 4 Apprenticeship?
At Cambridge Marketing College, the Level 3 and 4 apprenticeships that are AI-focused will include 30 hours of AI training.
Apprentices will learn:
1. Using AI day-to-day
They’ll dive into how to use AI to plan content, make visuals, manage campaigns, do research, and cut repetitive tasks. They also learn about AI agents, automated workflows, and practical solutions you can use right away.
2. Ethics, bias, and security
It’s not just about what AI can do, it’s about what it should do. Apprentices will learn the importance of AI ethics, spotting bias, and keeping data safe. This makes sure they know how to use AI responsibly.
3. Better prompts & smarter processes
Apprentices will learn how to write prompts that work, turn business goals into clear instructions, and find ways to streamline workflows with AI.
4. Professional growth
Teaching will be given on how AI adds value, build campaigns, present ideas, and stay on top of AI trends, all while growing into confident pros.
What AI training is included in a Level 6 Apprenticeship?
The Level 6 AI-focused apprenticeships will include 50 hours of AI learning. Training will include the 30 hours of training covered in Level 3 and 4 apprenticeships, plus an extra 20 hours of advanced training.
1. Strategic AI
Apprentices will learn how to spot opportunities, test AI in live campaigns, manage budgets and show real results.
2. Process mapping & integration
Lessons will be on finding where AI fits, automating tasks, picking the right tools, and making workflows smoother.
3. Leadership in AI change
They’ll learn about guiding teams, explaining benefits clearly, encouraging involvement, and fostering a culture of experimentation.
What’s the catch?
There’s no catch; a business can select an apprenticeship with or without an AI focus at no extra cost.
