Course overview

This Award will prepare you to undertake a strategic audit of a global organisation, assess its capability and capacity to deliver across a range of business and marketing strategies before making recommendations.

Duration

Entry criteria

  • CIM Professional Diploma in Marketing
  • OR CIM Advanced Certificate in Marketing
  • OR CIM Digital Diploma in Professional Marketing
  • OR a business or marketing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or an equivalent qualification) where a minimum of half of the credits come from marketing modules
  • AND a range of experience working (normally three years) at Senior Marketing Management level that has provided potential candidates with ability to evidence that they can meet the learning outcomes for the CIM Professional Diploma in marketing if required
  • PLUS IELTS Academic Modules with an overall score of 6.5 (each component pass mark must be 6.0 or above)
  • OR Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English grade B or above (achieved within the last 2 years if English is not your first language)

Global Marketing Decisions Mandatory

Study hours: 200

This module will prepare you to undertake a strategic audit of a global organisation and assess its capability and capacity to deliver across a range of business and marketing strategies before making recommendations, based on a full critical evaluation (including risk and financial assessment) of the various options available. 

You will be able to: 

  • Develop an audit of the external marketing environment
  • Develop an audit of the internal marketing environment
  • Critically assess strategic marketing options
  • Appraise strategic options available to a growing global organisation
  • Critically assess and justify strategic marketing decisions, including financial assessment
  • Evaluate corporate and reputational risk of strategic marketing decisions

Assessment: A 3 hour examination based on a pre-seen case study. You will be required to do preparatory work on the case study.
