International Digital Marketing Diploma with MAKAUT

We are delighted to be working with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology West Bengal (MAKAUT, WB) formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology. Following on the huge success of our faculty development seminars in Digital Marketing with MAKAUT, we are offering an International Digital Marketing Certificate and Diploma jointly with MAKAUT. 

 

Duration

The Diploma Programme is studied over 1 year and the Certification programme for six months. Due to Covid restrictions in Kolkata, we are currently teaching online. Our first batch of students began in August 2019 and have now graduated into new marketing careers, with two now teaching for the College. Our latest batch commenced July 2021.

"The Vice-Chancellor of MAKAUT Prof. Dr. Saikat Maitra is of the opinion that, the course on Digital Marketing will help the students in choosing their right career in future. MAKAUT wants to guide them in this path and enhance their employability, with the help of its international partners. As digitization has entered almost every sphere of marketing, such courses will certainly help the students, if they undertake their own start-up initiatives." (Source).

    • Intense programme in Digital Marketing - 30 hours, certificate awarded by CMC
    • One-year Diploma in Digital Marketing - 300 hours
    • organising and delivering a portion of a larger course (for example, the digital marketing module under a larger management qualification)

    • Immersion programme in UK (when travel restrictions allow)

Delivery methods for classes and workshops

Courses and programmes are conducted in a blended learning mode:

  • online and offline media are used as required
  • UK tutors joing through video conferencing
  • emphasis on learning through hands-on practical experiences and case-based assignments
  • local tutors, UK tutors and practising management professionals from industry all collaborate to give the most up to date, industry relevant learning
  • Assessments and awarding qualifications is conducted by CMC, jointly with local institutions

 

Current academic partnerships

MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology), West Bengal- delivering a one year International PG Diploma in Digital Marketing since October 2019. Also delivered faculty training in digital marketing.

Army Institute of Management (AIM), Kolkata - delivering 25 hour digital marketing programmes since February 2020.

Lead tutors

Nandan Sengupta - College Ambassador for India - UK based

Nandan Sengupta is our College Ambassador for India and a Fellow of the CIM. He has wide marketing experience in B2B technology marketing and project management and as a marketing consultant. Nandan is a Master of Business Management from the University of Calcutta, India and holds the CIM’s Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.

 

 

Mr. Atanu Ghosh – Academic Lead - Cambridge Marketing College (India Operations)

Atanu Ghosh is an Entrepreneur, a Founder-Director and CEO, a Mentor and Angel Investor to Start-ups. Atanu has a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years in IT and Consulting Industry in multiple countries. He is an Adjunct/ Visiting/ Guest Faculty in areas of ERP, E-Commerce and Digital Marketing in leading academic institutions of India like IIM Calcutta, XLRI Jamshedpur, IIM Udaipur and Praxis Kolkata. Atanu has been a distinguished and keynote speaker in leading forums and industry associations of India like SAPPHIRE, CII and Indo-American Chamber of Commerce

 

Mr Sumit Kanungo - Operations Lead - Cambridge Marketing College (India Operations)

Sumit Kanungo is a specialist in media planning and analytics with more than 25 years of experience. He has worked across industries and sectors and has in-depth knowledge of advertising space. His roles of Vice-President in Lintas India and CEO of Madison World has added both strategic and operational edge to his vast experience and insight. Sumit currently works as a consultant and academician.

J D Birla Institute students visit Cambridge

Students from the J D Birla Institute in Kolkata visited Madingley Hall, University of Cambridge, for a week-long residential Management course. Included was Digital Marketing, Innovation, International Marketing, PR and Entrepeneurship. The talented students presented senior staff of the Institute and the College with ideas on a new, innovative product at the end of the week.
