CMC supports conservation intern for 3rd year
Our 2019 intern is Filipa (Pip) Penny, a Conservation Biology and Ecology graduate from the University of Exeter. During her degree, Filipa took part in a number of conservation projects, including coral reef abundance surveys and turtle and stingray tagging in the Bahamas, marine environment research in Honduras and marine mammal surveying in Uganda.
She is currently studying the CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing via our online Distance Learning method. Her conservation travels to Malaysia, with CMC and Biodiversity Business, began back in March with a trip through the mangroves.
Next stop was the Kinabatangan River where she planted trees to reforest fragmented areas of rainforest to create habitat corridors for wildlife.
Here she is pictured with fellow volunteers for APE Malaysia and is currently working on content for their social media platforms and new website.
We'll keep you updated with Pip's activities as she continues her journey and studies!
