Lucy leads her own medical diagnostics consultancy business, Lehane Consulting - which specializes in supporting businesses bringing new and innovative health products to market. Lucy began her working life in the National Health Service where she trained as a Biomedical Scientist, and it was here that she first gained market insights into the importance of point of care testing in patient management and health outcomes. Fast forward nearly 25 years, and she has spent her career in the commercial world of diagnostic testing holding leadership and people management roles in Product and Technical Marketing and Medical Affairs for Unilever, Abbott and LumiraDx.
During this time, Lucy has always maintained a focus on her own training and development - studying alongside working and she truly understands the challenges of balancing work and study. This means she is well-placed to tutor and mentor our apprentices who are possibly stepping into the world of work/or a new area for the first time.
