After qualifying in psychology and working for several years in the technology sector in marketing and sales roles she worked for leading professional service firms (Deloitte and Nabarro). She started her own business in 1994 and has worked for over 300 clients including: solicitors’ firms, barristers’ chambers, patent attorneys, accountancy practices, insolvency practitioners, actuaries, surveyors, marketing services agencies and management consultants. She is also qualified in marketing, management and coaching and an accredited, practising psychotherapist.

She advises on and provides training in strategic and operational aspects of management, change, marketing, selling and client relationship management. She has published seven books (on selling and business development, media relations and social media, soft skills, growth strategies and business relationships) and hundreds of articles. She held Non-Executive Director (NED) positions in the property industry and was a Trustee of a mental health charity.

She has lectured on many CIM courses over the years both for a local college and Cambridge Marketing College – in the UK and Germany. She is the lead trainer for the Professional Marketing Forum – providing over 20 public courses a year and many more on an inhouse basis. Now that her children have “grown and flown”, she lives in Twickenham with two small dogs and two cats and enjoys fishing, dancing and rugby. She is a livery man at the Worshipful Company of Marketers.
