A former national newspaper journalist, David has worked for the BBC as a TV reporter before being asked to join Nato as a field media officer in Afghanistan for four years. On his return he returned to education to undertake a MBA. After a stint at setting up a start up in the field of anti counterfeiting with two MBA colleagues, David returned to providing marketing and media support to the education and tech sector. In January 2016 David was asked to teach at Birmingham City University’s in their marketing department. Later in the year the role became full time and is now Senior Lecturer (Marketing). He loves helping people achieve their potential through education. He is also completing a doctorate on the subject of humour in the communication and persuasive process.
He is developing, painfully, his hobby of bee keeping and is a keen mountain walker, having achieved a number summer mountain leader qualifications.
