The College is proud to become a member of The 5% Club, a group of large and small employers from a wide range of sectors who are committed to ‘earn and learn’ for their employees. Members range from the Ministry of Defence, Network Rail and Rolls-Royce to SMEs from across the UK.

By signing The 5% Club charter, the College is committing that over the next 5 years, 5% of its UK workforce will be earning and learning as apprentices, graduates on formal programmes, or sponsored students.

The 5% Club was formed in 2013 in response to high youth unemployment and a lack of skills in the workplace. Leo Quinn the CEO of Balfour Beatty, states:

“The 5% Club is a great way for employers both to share best practice and to raise awareness of “earn and learn” among the next generation, to make sure they can access the skills to thrive in this changing world.”
