The AI Digital Product Manager Apprenticeship develops learners to become professionals who can manage the full lifecycle of digital products. With 30 hours of dedicated AI training included at no extra cost, apprentices will also gain valuable AI skills they can incorporate in their role to improve product management, decision-making, customer experience, and digital innovation.

After finishing the 18-month AI Digital Product Manager Apprenticeship, employers will have a skilled team member who can help build better digital products, make smarter decisions using data, and work more efficiently.

What learners will be able to do?

By the end of the AI Digital Product Manager Apprenticeship, learners will have the practical skills to help take digital products from an initial idea through to launch, improvement, and ongoing development. They will learn how to work with customers and stakeholders, turn user needs into clear product requirements, manage and prioritise backlogs, and contribute to product roadmaps, prototypes, and MVPs using agile ways of working.

Learners will also develop confidence in using data, AI, and product performance metrics to understand what’s working, make better decisions, identify opportunities for improvement, and support digital products that deliver real customer and business value.

Cost: £18,000
Funding: Fully Levy-funded or employer-funded

For non-levy-paying employers, 100% government-funded for apprentices aged 16–24. For older apprentices, Non-levy paying employers pay 5% of the training cost upfront

Weekly commitment: Minimum 6 hours of off-the-job training
Assessment: On-programme assessment, presentation, portfolio of evidence with professional discussion and behaviours assessed by the employer
