CIM Diploma in Sustainable Marketing

This course allows Marketers to better understand their part in creating a more sustainable environment. Students will be able to identify how marketing plays a huge part in facilitating change for their organisation and how this will change their current strategies. 

Students will learn how to effectively plan and execute key actions and communicate how and why their organisation is making such changes in support of the evolving sustainability agenda.

Fees and payment

Course fees are subject to VAT in the United Kingdom.

Awarding body membership and/or assessment fees are not included.

You can pay the course fees by debit/credit card or provide us with a Purchase Order number to invoice your company.

Take advantage and make an initial payment of £370 by credit/debit card, then spread the remaining amount over 10 equal monthly instalments as follows:

Entry criteria and support

In order to take this course, you need to have:

  • A relevant Level 4 qualification, such as the CIM Certificate of Professional Marketing; or,
  • A Bachelors or Masters degree with at least one third of credits coming from marketing content (120 credits in a Bachelor degree or 60 credits in a Masters): or
  • 2+ years’ marketing experience in an operational role plus a diagnostic assessment.
  • If English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate English language proficiency (IELTS Academic Modules overall score of 6.5 or equivalent)

Study hours:
170 hours, split into a provided weekly study plan.

  • Understand how to analyse an organisation’s current and future internal and external environments
  • Interpret relevant information and insights to recommend and inform strategic decision making
  • Develop marketing objectives and strategy to deliver organisational objectives
  • Develop a strategic marketing plan and a supporting marketing mix to deliver marketing objectives
  • Define the resources required to deliver the strategic marketing plan
  • Apply the results of monitoring and measurements, and adapt the marketing plan for continuous improvement

170 hours, split into a provided weekly study plan.

  • Understand how innovation and disruption are influencing organisational growth
  • Assess the key factors that facilitate innovation in organisations
  • Apply principles of innovation throughout the marketing function
  • Develop a business case for a marketing related innovation
  • Understand the activities required for the implementation of innovative marketing
  • Develop a plan for the communication of innovation

170 hours, split into a provided weekly study plan.

  • Assess your organisation's greater purpose and the role of marketing in achieving sustainability now and in the future
  • Determine a customer focused approach
  • Evaluate ways to co-create with stakeholders to deliver change
  • Determine the resources required to make long-term value and profitable solutions
  • Create a plan to implement change and measure results through effective results
