Introduction to Marketing for SMEs
What is it all about?
This course is designed specifically to introduce delegates to the topic of marketing and how it applies to the special circumstances of SMEs. It will explain the basic concepts and tools of marketing as well as the practicalities of developing and implementing a low cost marketing plan. The aim is to equip delegates with the core skills to improve marketing within their organisation. After the course delegates also receive 2 hours of consultancy advice to help quality proof their marketing plan and assist forward planning.
Delegates will consider:
- The role of marketing in an SME
- Different ways of identifying the market
- The basics of market targeting
- The need to create a complete product and offer a solution to your customer
- The product portfolio and life cycle
- The Marketing Mix and what tools to apply
- Basic promotional techniques and how to prepare a low cost marketing communications plan
