CIM Introductory Certificate
Prospectus Offline Enrolment Form and College Fees
This is the CIM entry level qualification for those new to marketing and introduces delegates to the fundamentals of
marketing and understanding customers. There are 2 units:
By the end of the course you should understand the function of marketing and its role in an organisation; know about
the four Ps (product, price, place and promotion) and how to apply the marketing mix; understand more about customers
and managing customer relationships; and be able to communicate with internal and external customers in different ways.
The course looks at marketing in different situations and considers the Not for Profit, Service, and B2B sectors as well as
the Consumer market.

This course is ideal for people who want to learn more about marketing whether they are in a marketing job or not.
It is suitable for delegates in junior marketing posts or assistants supporting others in marketing roles or for event
management assistants, customer service assistants, call centre employees, personal assistants or non-marketers
wanting to understand more about marketing or move into a marketing role.

Assessment: Unit 1 is assessed by an on-line multiple choice exam - a convenient time and date will be arranged
with the delegate to sit the exam two weeks prior to the exam taking place. Unit 2 is assessed by a work-based
assignment. All delegates are provided with a Study Guide and text book.
