Distance Learning Support
Our flexible package of support is there for you to use as little or as much as you need - it is up to you. However, we strongly recommend that you do contact your Distance Learning Course Director, Kiran Kapur - kiran@marketingcollege.com - as an early first step. Kiran has wide experience as a tutor, distance learning advisor and as a distance learner herself. She will be able to advise you on how to get started, plan and complete your studies, and on any problems you have during your studies. She is there to help!
Other support available includes:
-
Welcome Pack - this includes your password for the delegate area of the website, your tutor contact details and other useful information to help you get started on your studies.
-
Study Materials - over the years we have developed a high quality set of study materials. We have compiled our Study Guides with leading publishers and they are complete with a step by step guide to the syllabus, real life examples, self test exercises and related assignments. They come on a CD-ROM using the latest Adobe E-Book Reader software allowing onscreen reading, highlighting, and annotation - making them a truly portable resource. In addition we believe strongly that in order to be good marketers and to pass exams or assignments distance learning delegates need to gain as much exposure to the subjects as possible. Therefore, in addition to the Study Guides we also provide the main essential text books for each module.
- Tutor support - in addition to support from your Course Director you also have a specialist distance learning tutor for each module of your course. In order to relate what you read to the actual practice of Marketing you need to understand the theory and how to apply it in the real world. Our tutors are practising marketing professionals who bring both teaching skills and current business skills to our courses. They will answer your questions, assess set assignments and help you to complete and pass your course. All tutors are contactable by email. If you wish to telephone a tutor, arrange a mutually convenient time to call. Tutors can advise on any aspect of the module content, mark exam practice questions and comment on an outline (table of contents) and draft of each assignment question. Your tutor contact details are provided with your Welcome pack. To find out more about our tutors click on the Tutor button at the top of the page.
- Administrative support - Katrina Prowse- katrina@marketingcollege.com or 01223 421903 - can advise on booking upgrades, revision sessions, exam and assignment registration, extending your support, how to use the website and just about any question you can think of regarding your registration with us!
